If you have no Mac to speak of, interested in a 16-inch monster weighing 6.3 pounds and carrying some average specs, then you can check out Asus new laptop nicknamed the F50SV-X1 (actually that's its real name).

Said laptop comes with a 2GHz Core 2 Duo T6400 processor, 4GB of DDR2 RAM, 320GB hard drive, Super Multi DVD drive, NVIDIA GeForce GT 120 (1GB) and a 1366 x 768 display. Integrated WiFi, Vista Home Premium as well as a 6-cell Li-ion battery make the cut with the usual VGA out, USB and other ports. All for only $799.99.
