COBY ANNOUNCES SUB $200 NETBOOK AT CES

Coby has taken the wraps off their sub $200 line of netbooks and by sub we mean $199. But before you get your hopes built up Coby was quick to announce that its just a "market research project" although they said that they would be coming to the market (no release date of course).


There are mixed feelings about these. While they do not differ much from the regular netbook crowd (Atom processor, 1GB RAM, Window's XP etc.) they do have the price thing going for them which might be a good thing. But as we said before they have not released any other info yet.


On the other hand as promised Asus has provided their sub $250 netbook and its looking very promising so we'll see.
