WINDOW'S 7 STARTER EDITION MIGHT BRING SUB $200 NETBOOKS

Tuesday, March 31, 2009

There has been a lot of controversy surrounding the different versions of Window's 7 that will be making their way to store shelves in the coming months.

But what is most notable is the fact that Microsoft sees Window's 7 Starter Edition being able to replace the Linux-based netbooks which are cheaper then XP versions but still sell far way less then their Window's XP counterparts.

More importantly this could lead the way for Window's netbooks to sell in the sub $200 region and more importantly bring them to developing worlds. Microsoft is working with OEM to clean up the system tray as well as make other accommodations so Window's 7 will work perfectly on the little forgotten netbooks.

Feeling anything yet Mac and Linux?
