Ah the total awesomeness of the rugged notebook and the complete lack of sense for those who think its sexy. We're not saying we don't envy the Panasonic Toughbook but we think we'll make do with our Mac encrusted in a steel shell for now.

Anyways General Dynamics is back at it again with their new GD8000. Said notebook carries a Core 2 Duo SL9400 processor, 4GB of RAM, GMA 45ooMHD graphics as well as 120GB storage and a 13.3 inch screen that sports DynaVue sunlight-readable touchscreen display.
Other things includes a fingerprint reader, GPS, WiFi, Bluetooth (optional), Gobi 2000 WWAN module and can withstand a drop from 42 inches, 30 gallons of water at 40mph and operates between -22 degrees F to 140 degrees F.
