BUFFALO ANNOUNCES HIGH SPEED USB FLASH DRIVES

Buffalo announced two high speed USB flash drives, the RUF2-RVS series and the RUF2-LVS series. Both the flash drives have USB 2.0 interfaces, Windows ReadyBoost support and Plug and Play functionality. Both the flash drives measure 23 x 10 x 98 mm and weighs 15 grams.


The RUF2-RVS series is based on SLC flash memory and has up to 38MB/sec read and 30MB/sec write data transfer speeds. This series includes three models,

the RUF2-RV4GS-SV with 4GB,

the RUF2-RV8GS-SV with 8GB and

the RUF2-RV16GS-SV with 16GB of storage capacities.



The other model RUF2-LVS is for those who prefer extra storage capacity over speed. It can store up to 32GB of memory but comes with a lower data transfer speed of 30MB/sec. This series includes four models,

the RUF2-LV4GS-BK with 4GB,

the RUF2-LV8GS-BK with 8GB,

the RUF2-LV16GS-BK with 16GB and

the RUF2-LV32GS-BK with 32GB of storage capacities.


Both the series comes with the Secure Lock Mobile encryption function and though the pricing is still unknown, their release date is set to mid-February.
