Asus Eee PC T91 Tablet Netbook Overview

The Asus Eee PC T91 is Asustek’s first convertible netbook computer.


The upcoming T91 mini-tablet features an 8.9-inch touch-screen display with a 1,024×600 resolution and LED backlight, the Intel Atom Z520 1.33GHz processor, US15W chipset, 1GB of DDR2 memory, a 32GB solid state drive with Windows XP Home pre-loaded, an optional internal TV tuner, and a built-in web camera.


Regarding networking and connectivity, there are 802.11b/g WiFi, Bluetooth, an Ethernet LAN port, optional 3G and GPS connectivity, two USB ports, a Disk Expander supporting MMC, SD or SDHC memory card for an increased storage space, a multi-card reader, and a VGA output.


The convertible provides a battery life of up to five hours, according to the PC maker. However, the battery is non-removable.


The Asus Eee PC T91 weighs less than 2.2 pounds and has a white glossy chassis.


Bit-Tech reports the T91 is expected to be available in UK in late April. Its price will be somewhere between £360 ($524) and £420 ($610) reportedly. There’s no info on availability in the US.


Asustek also plans to release the Eee PC T101H, a tablet netbook with a 10-inch display.
