Hewlett-Packard is displaying the HP Pavilion dv2, a new ultraportable notebook, at the ongoing 2009 CES Show in Las Vegas.
Measuring under 1-inch thick and starting at 3.8 pounds, the Pavilion dv2 packs a 12.1-inch 1280×800 LED backlight display, the new AMD Athlon Neo Processor-based platform with the Neo MV40 CPU at 1.6GHz, ATI Mobility Radeon HD 3410 discrete graphics, up to 4GB of DDR2 memory, and up to 500GB of hard drive storage space. The laptop has no built-in optical drive.
Other features include a 92% of full-size keyboard, built-in web camera, 802.11n wireless, optional Bluetooth and Gobi mobile broadband connectivity, Ethernet LAN, HDMI and VGA outputs, three USB ports, and a 5-in-1 media card reader.
The HP Pavilion dv2 will be available in two finishes with matching HP Imprint designs on the palm rest: Espresso and Moonlight.
It is expected to hit the US market in April with a starting price of $699.
