HP Mini 2140 Features 10.1? Display, Atom CPU

Hewlett-Packard has updated its business-class netbook lineup with the HP Mini 2140 that has a larger display than the previous Mini-Note 2133 series, as well as the Intel Atom processor instead of the VIA C7-M.


Along with the 10.1-inch 16:9 LED backlit display with a resolution of 1024×576 or 1366×768 pixels, the 2.6-pound Mini 2140 comes with the Atom N270 CPU at 1.6GHz, GMA 950 integrated graphics, up to 2GB of DDR2 memory, an 80GB solid state drive or a 160GB hard drive (at 5,400 or 7,200rpm), a 3- or 6-cell battery, and Windows Vista, Windows XP, or SUSE Linux operating system.


The netbook also includes a built-in web camera, stereo speakers and microphones, 802.11g or 802.11n wireless LAN, Bluetooth, Gigabit Ethernet connection, two USB ports, an ExpressCard slot, and Secure Digital card slot.


The HP Mini 2140 starts at $499. It’s expected to be available later this month.
