MSI PR201

The ultra-portable and ultra-lightweight notebook model from MSI released recently is a powerful computer consuming low energy, running on the latest Intel Centrino platform. PR201 features the Intel GM45 Express Chipset for increased performance, high definition capabilities, as well as longer battery life, thanks to the Intel Centrino 2 technology.


Sacrificing a full keyboard layout with numeric pad, but adding a stylish Black and Silver color scheme, MSI introduces a simple yet elegant design for professional users, equipping the latest laptop model with a built-in 2MP camera for video conferences, fingerprint reader for authorized data access, and an 8-cell battery option, in a 303 x 231.5 x 16-29.5 mm system weighting just 1.8 Kg.


The HDMI connectivity provides HD imaging for TV shows and movies, while for communication it comes equipped with a built-in AI Array microphone featuring surrounding noise reduction and reverberation-free voice rendering. This technology processes the voice by forming a 3D cone shaped beam in front of the laptop through which all surrounding noise is cancelled. Also, you can talk from any position you need as the new type of microphone doesn’t have movement requirements.

It runs on the Windows Vista Business operating system with a friendly user interface displayed on the 12.1-inch TFT screen at a resolution of 1280 x 800 pixels. Graphics are taken care by the GMA X4500 controller with shared video memory.


There is memory support for up to 4GB and the notebook also features 2 built-in speakers, modem, LAN, Bluetooth 2.0 +EDR, 802.11 b/g/n wireless module, a 3-in-1 card reader, 3 USBs, PCI Express Card, up to 320GB S-ATA HDD storage, and a DVD Super Multi optical drive to burn your media on CDs and DVDs.


The MSI PR201 is available at a price of about $1,523.
