Panasonic is going to release a rugged Toughbook mini tablet PC with Intel’s Atom processor on Wednesday, PC Advisor reports.
Prototype versions of the mini Toughbook have a touch-sensitive 5.6-inch screen and a QWERTY keyboard.
It was reported earlier that Panasonic’s Atom-based rugged mobile computer is actually an Ultra-Mobile PC (UMPC), which weighs 2.2 pounds and is Windows Vista compatible.
The device is claimed to be extremely shock- and weather-resistant.
Currently there is no information on pricing and availability.
