Hewlett-Packard announced today the HP Pavilion dv4t 14.1-inch entertainment notebook PC, featuring Intel Centrino 2 mobile platform, known as “Montevina”, and the new design.

The Pavilion dv4t includes the Intel Core 2 Duo processor and the new GMA X4500 integrated graphics, or one of the Nvidia’s GeForce dedicated GPUs. The laptop supports up to 4GB of DDR2 memory, up to 320GB of hard drive storage, and a DVD burner or Blu-Ray Disc drive. The 14.1? 1280×800 widescreen display in this notebook has CCFL or LED backlight.

The dv4 sports 802.11b/g wireless support or the new Intel Wireless WiFi Link 5100AGN module supporting 802.11n draft standard. There are also an optional Bluetooth module, and an Ethernet LAN port. According to a specifications sheet, the dv4 does not have a built-in modem.

It features Altec Lansing stereo speakers, optional TV tuner, web camera, and fingerprint reader, HDMI and VGA outputs, three USB ports (4th shared with eSATA port), an ExpressCard slot, 5-in-1 media card reader, and Infrared receiver.

The notebook and includes the newly designed high-glossy HP Imprint 2 Mesh finish with a grid-like pattern in onyx and chrome.

It’s interesting that HP says all of the three new Pavilions – dv4t, 154? dv5t, and 17? dv7t weigh around 5.5 pounds. Maybe it is a typo.

The Pavilion dv4t will be offered with Windows Vista 32-bit or 64-bit operating system and is expected to be available in July.
