Samsung NC20 Overview

Friday, March 27, 2009

Samsung has recently unveiled the NC20, a netbook with a 12.1-inch display and VIA’s Nano processor.

Unlike the most of available netbooks, based on the Intel Atom technology, the Samsung NC20 uses the VIA Nano U2250 CPU (1.3GHz - 1.6GHz, 800MHz) and the VX800 chipset with the Chrome 9 integrated graphics. The netbook has 1GB of DDR2 RAM, up to 160GB of hard drive space, and a 6-cell battery.

Its widescreen display has a resolution of 1280 x 800 pixels and a glossy coating, while its ‘normal’ notebook keyboard has full sized keys.

There are also a built-in 1.3MP web camera, stereo speakers, 802.11b/g WiFi, Bluetooth, Ethernet LAN, three USB ports, and a 3-in-1 media card reader.

The Samsung NC20 runs Windows XP Home operating system.

The netbook is available overseas for around $480. It’s expected to start selling in the US by the end of March.
