Dell Launches Latitude E6400 XFR Rugged Laptop

Dell launched today the Latitude E6400 XFR 14.1-inch rugged laptop, featuring the Ballistic Armor Protection System.
The Ballistic Armor includes twice the impact strength of magnesium alloy, a “25% higher drop specification than any computer in its class”, high compression strength, structural stability at extreme temperatures, and scratch resistance.
In addition, the E6400 XFR features PrimoSeal Technology to enhance protection from dust and liquid, and a DirectVue display that is optimized for work in direct sunlight.
The rugged notebook is based on the Latitude E6400, which includes Intel’s Core 2 Duo processors and vPro technology.
Dell’s E6400 XFR starts at 8.5 pounds.
It runs Windows Vista OS and has a base price of $4,299.
