So its no surprise that better performance was bound to come to netbooks, as they seem to be outpacing their notebook and desktop counterparts in the sales arena. And if you have been keeping up with the tech news you know that NVIDIA has been planning to enter the netbook arena with its Ion platform.
Well just yesterday NVIDIA decided to offer a few more details about the platform including its multi tasking capabilities via Window's 7.
In case this is your first time hearing about Ion, it supports full 1080p HD, and can play such games as Left 4 Dead in 720p resolution without any whining. More importantly it also supports Blu-ray playback and for those MMORPG fans, web games play nicely via Direct X 10 and more.
According to NVIDIA these will make it to the mass market sometime this summer and will be pretty affordable. According to other sources, "affordable" means under the $300 mark. Pretty awesome if you ask me.
