Although there is debate as to what will be the standard for next-gen mobile data, Asus has its eyes on WiMax and has released a WiMAX equipped laptop. Asus followed that up with the WiMAX equipped Eee PC which debuted at CES in January.
In any case Asus is deciding to let some more details slip some new details on said device. From the looks of things the netbook will be able to handle Window's 7 beta as well as full WiMAX and WiFi capabilities including IEEE 802.16e, WAVE2, AND WiFi 802.11a/b/g/b. The support will come in 2.4-2.7, and 5.1-5.8 GHz bands.
No word on release date or price and according to Asus the netbook will come in the "future." We're not saying that is to say sometime this year, but we would bet it meant it.
