While the IdeaPad S10 netbook was enhanced with facial recognition and instant access to the social networking community of Lenovo, the IdeaPad Y series welcomed three new laptop computers sharing the new Lenovo technologies meant to improve user’s experience. These include the OneKey Rescue System that allows you to recover data after a system failure or virus attack, the VeriFace facial recognition technology, OneKey Theater application for access to the display and audio settings, the Desktop Navigator that allows you to switch between tasks via the touch-sensitive slide bar, and the High Definition support.

Lenovo IdeaPad Y450 is a 14-inch small laptop computer coming at a suggested retail price of $829, with a glossy widescreen panel, the latest NVIDIA GFX graphics destined for gamers, Dolby Home Theater surround sound, DDR3 system memory, Wi-Fi module and Bluetooth short-range wireless connectivity.
In addition to the 16:9 widescreen with LED backlight, the notebook features integrated Intel GMA 4500 MHD graphics, Intel Core 2 Duo processing technology, 4GB DDR3 memory, the Nvidia NB10P-GE1 discrete graphics card with 512MB dedicated GDDR3 memory, 500GB hard drive, optional Blu-ray, DVD burner, multi-touchpad, and up to 4.5-hour of battery life.
The system measures 340 x 232 x 21 mm at a weight of 4.6 pounds.
