Hewlett-Packard has added Intel’s quad core processor to the HP HDX18t 18-inch laptops.
The HDX18t entertainment notebook is now configurable with the Intel Core 2 Quad QX9300 CPU at 2.53Hz, which is $150 pricier than the T9400 dual core chip with the same clock speed. Additionally, NewEgg offers a preconfigured HDX18t model - the HDX18-1180US for $1799.99 - with the Core 2 Quad Q9000 at 2GHz.
Along with the dual and quad core processors, the HDX18 laptops feature the NVIDIA GeForce 9600M GT video card, up to 4GB of DDR2 memory, up to 640GB of hard drive space, an optional Blu-ray optical drive, and built-in TV tuner.
The 16-inch HDX16t is currently available with dual core CPUs only.
