I'll be up front with you, this is not "breaking news" but seeing how the economy is in the dumps I'm guessing that there are more than a few readers of this blog who would be interested in a $600 notebook system from Dell.


The 15.6-inch widescreen notebook comes with 4GB RAM, 320GB HDD, optional Blu-Ray drive, integrated webcam, Intel Core 2 Duo CPU, optional Bluetooth, facial recognition software as well as the usual array of ports and drives. The system goes on sale at Dell.com later this month with a starting price of $600 and can be found at Best Buy and Curry's (UK) in unconfigurable options as we speak.
