There is no ifs and buts about Netbooks batteries, they aren’t usually impressive. Even if you gets an extended battery netbooks becomes un-portable due to its weight and ugly bulk. This is where Lenovo IdeaPad S10 stands apart; if you are in Germany then it’s a good news for you that IdeaPad S10 now comes with 6-Cell High Capacity Battery. You might say that 6-cell battery looks ugly and weird on the back of compute when plugged and do they offer double battery life? Here Lenovo claims to be selling “Large Capacity” version of S1 in US for about additional $50 on actual price. This version comes with 1GB of RAM and a 160GB hard drive, both of which are double that you get on “General Computing” models.
As far as netbook is concern Lenovo has done a great job. This 10-inch model runs at 1024x600, probably sounds like a competition to Asus Eee PC 1000H (8.9-inch product with 1024x600) and also for MSI Wind. You get excellent Intel’s 1.6GHz Atom processor, with webcam, a 4-in-1-card reader and ExpressCard slot too. Some users might get disappointed by not locating SSD, however it can be upgraded. There is no exact clue on pricing nor when will it be available outside China.
