ASUS EEE 900A – LOST IN THE CROWD?

The ASUS Eee PC 900A is one among the long line of the ASUS Eee series with very little noticeable changes. Of course finding the difference among the various Eee PC‘s can make your head spin and sadly the Eee PC 900A fails to stand out in the crowd. The best features that can be highlighted are its ultra portability and price tag. ASUS Eee PC 900A has an 8.9” display with Intel Atom N270, 1GB RAM, built-in 802.1b/g WLAN, 16GB SSD storage and 20GB eStorage. It has a pathetic 0.3M Pixel webcam but weighs just 0.99Kg. A few points in favor of this netbook are its ease of use with an intuitive point and click user interface, quick start up, shock proof mobility and the Intel Atom CPU gives an impressive 5 hour life with a 4 cell battery. But there is a glitch here as the batteries are a cheap 400mAh and it is hard to find a replacement. But it is easy to upgrade the memory and the hard drive. You will need some time to feel at ease with the minuscule keyboard and display screen. You can also forget about playing games or anything more complicated than browsing. Well when all is said and done the ASUS Eee PC 900A is best for everyday computing of modest nature and fits your pocket, literally and figuratively.
