Lenovo IdeaPad Y530 Overview

The Lenovo IdeaPad Y530 is available in two versions. The first is the Y530 Home Entertainment featuring Intel’s lower-end processors (Pentium T3200, Core 2 Duo T5800) and the Intel GMA 4500MHD integrated graphics. The Y530 High Performance Media variant comes with the Intel Core 2 Duo T5800 or more powerful P7350 and P8400, as well as with the Nvidia GeForce 9300M GS or 9500M G dedicated video cards. Both notebooks come with up to 4GB of DDR2 or DDR3 memory, depending on model, up to 320GB of hard drive space, and a DVD burner.
The glossy and “frameless” display has a resolution of 1280×800 pixels.
The IdePad Y530 notebooks include four speakers and subwoofer, Dolby Home Theater support, a 1.3-megapixel web camera, HDMI and VGA outputs, 802.11a/b/g/n wireless and Bluetooth connections, an Ethernet LAN port, 56K modem, three USB ports, an ExpressCard slot, 6-in-1 media card reader, Firewire port, touch-sensitive audio-video control panel, and a Shuttle Key for volume and equalizer setting.
According to the product specifications, the laptops provide up to 3 hours of operation on a single charge with a standard 6-cell battery.
The Y530 weighs 6.6 pounds and runs Windows Vista operating system.
The Home Entertainment and High Performance Media versions start at $549.00 and $899.00 respectively at the Lenovo website.
