eMachines, an Acer brand, introduces its new laptop computer at a very attractive price of just $429.99.
It is a mid-level computer with a 14.1-inch screen designed for value-oriented customers, with basic technologies required for everyday use including high-quality imaging, fast processing speeds for popular applications and wireless Internet access.
Even if its price is comparable to mobile Internet devices’, the eMachines eMD620-5777 model offers a resolution of 1280 x 800 pixels, the 802.11b/g WiFi module, a Super Multi-format Dual-layer DVD-R/RW drive, 160GB hard drive storage, built-in high-definition stereo speakers, headphone/speaker jack, microphone jack, 1GB of DDR2 memory, integrated ATI Radeon X1200 graphics, 1919MB ATI HyperMemory, an AMD Athlon 2650e processor clocked at 1.6GHz, and 2 USB ports.
The new model features also the Corel WinDVD and NTI CD/DVD Maker software to help you burn music, videos and pictures on DVDs and CDs, while Windows Vista Home Basic operating system that comes pre-installed provides a friendly user interface with lots of useful applications in addition to eMachines GameZone access to online games, Adobe Reader, Microsoft Works 8.5 with Office Home and Student 2007 Trial, and the 60-day trial of Norton 360 Version 2.0.
eMachines's new model seems to be the best mid-level laptop on market and it will be available exclusively at Best Buy starting later today.
