$1,550 is a reasonable price for a gaming laptop and Toshiba Qosmio X305-Q701 manages to comprise some of the latest technologies to deliver increased graphic performance at high processing speeds, covered with the company’s Fusio finish displaying cool red burning flames.
An NVIDIA GeForce 9700M GTS video card with with 512MB GDDR3 discrete graphics memory delivers high definition imaging via the PureVideo HD technology and supports CUDA applications and NVIDIA PhysX. CUDA is a C programming language-based technology allowing developers to build software that solves different complex problems in shortest time, while the PhysX enhances the gaming experience by enabling high-end graphic effects such as explosions that cause dust and collateral debris, characters with complex, jointed geometries for more life-like motion and interaction, spectacular new weapons with incredible effects, cloth that drapes and tears naturally, and dense smoke & fog that billow around objects in motion.
Adding the processing power from an Intel Core 2 Duo P7350 model, the gaming notebook supports DirectX 10, while the additional components include 4GB DDR3 RAM memory that doubles the speed of DDR2, 200GB 7,200 RPM hard drive, Intel Wi-Fi Link 5100AGN , Bluetooth 2.1+EDR, full-size keyboard, a 17.1-inch wide display with TruBrite technology, 4 Harman Kardon stereo speakers with subwoofer, a DVD super multi double layer optical drive, red LED light coming from the Feather-Touch multimedia buttons, and a flush-mounted touchpad with red LED light margin.
