Lenovo today unveiled the IdeaPad S10, company’s first low-cost ultraportable laptop.
The 10.2-inch Lenovo IdeaPad S10 is based on the Intel Atom processor. The netbook will be offered in two configurations - one has 512MB of RAM and an 80 GB hard drive, while the second comes with 1GB of memory and a 160GB HDD. The S10 is “one inch thick and weighs just more than two pounds”.
Its keyboard is 85 percent of the size of a full-sized laptop keyboard.
Other features include LED display backlight, a built-in web camera, WiFi connection, two USB ports, an ExpressCard slot, and 4-in-1 media card reader.
Lenovo’s S10 will ship with white/black and red/white chassis and Windows XP preinstalled.
The IdeaPad S10 netbook is expected to become available in October, starting at $399.
