This month, BenQ is releasing a new laptop mouse model with innovative properties and laser sensor technology for a more accurate tracking, and more surface types support.
The L450 is anti-virus with nano-coating technology which consists of a spray-on coating in charge with deactivating enzymes and proteins of bacteria from surviving on the surface.
It features 1600DPI ultra-high resolution and is plug-and-play requiring no software installation to be immediately detected by the PC system when plugged into the USB port.
Like the other laptop computer mice, BenQ L450 has an automatic retractable cable to save space, which works by pressing the dedicated button on the mouse.
It measures 98 x 55 x 38 mm and features 3 buttons including the scroll wheel, coming in black, with support for Microsoft Windows operating system up to Vista, and Mac.
Regarding the anti-bacterial coating we’ve done some research and found some interesting facts about silver.
Seem that the chemical properties of silver are recognized even by the ancient Greeks, who used cooking and eating tools made of it.
This metal contains nanoparticles with anti-bacterial properties and is capable of destroying viruses and fungus as well. One gram of silver nanoparticles is enough to protect hundred of square meters of substrate material.
Because of the chemical properties of silver, the coating on the computer mouse kills any bacteria in just 6 minutes and works by stopping the oxygen brought into the those cells from which the organism develops.
Nano Silver Technology is being used in the medical sector, and was introduces in the computers sector by Samsung via its P200 laptop. The model has nano-sized silver ion powder on the keyboard area.
Another gadget using this technology is the world’s first submersible antimicrobial mouse, which can be washed and rezists in solvents, salt water, disinfectants, humidity, abrasives, dust, corrosives, dirt, sand, shock, alkaline, alcohol, bleach, acid and extreme temperatures.
