Apple this month cut the price of the MacBook Air version with a solid state drive by $500, AppleInsider reports.
“The Cupertino-based Mac maker is now selling its super slim 13-inch 1.8GHz MacBook Air with a 64GB solid state drive for $2598, down from the $3098 fetching price that was listed as recently as last week,” the report says.
The $500 price cut is achieved by reducing the prices of notebook’s 1.8GHz Intel Core 2 Duo processor by $100, and the 64GB SSD by $400.
The basic Macbook Air configuration is priced at $1,799 and includes an 1.6GHz Core 2 Duo CPU and 80GB hard drive.
