Fujitsu Launches Intel Centrino 2 LifeBook Laptops, Tablet PCs

Fujitsu today launched six LifeBook notebooks based on Intel Centrino 2 mobile platform, also known as “Montevina”.


According to Fujitsu’s press release, the Centrino 2 processor technology in the new A6210, T5010, T1010, E8420, S6520, and S7220 Lifebooks offer “increased performance and longer battery life”.


The Fujitsu LifeBook A6210 is a 15.4-inch desktop replacement notebook for consumers. The T5010 and T1010 are convertible tablet PCs with 13.3-inch displays. They are aimed at business users and consumers respectively. The 15.4? LifeBook E8420 desktop replacement, as well as 14.1? S6520 and S7220 thin-and-light laptops are made for corporate customers.


The LifeBook A6210 is priced at $1,149 for a base configuration. The T5010 tablet starts at $1,769, while the T1010 starts at $1,299 after $50 mail-in rebate. The basic price for the E8420 notebook is $1,359. The LifeBook S6520 and S7220 cost at least $1,529 and $1,229 respectively.


Fujitsu says the Centrino 2 powered LifeBooks are available immediately, but we were not able to find these notebooks on company’s website at the time of this writing.
