Check Point's individual firewall software incorrectly recognized a constituent of Yahoo! Messenger as a Trojan this week. Zone Alarm Pro erroneously angered an audio conferencing ActiveX organize within Yahoo Messenger as the Y-spy Trojan. As a consequence users of the software were provoked to remove yacscom.dll, a serious component of the IM client. By evasion the not dangerous control is positioned in quarantine. Variants of the control in Yahoo version 8.1, triggered the fake alarm, Beta News reports. The issue shaped a continuing conversation strand on the Zone Alarm Support forum. Late on Thursday one user send a reply from a Check Point report substantiating the sham alarm.
