StreamMyGame Enables Crysis, Quake 4 on Netbooks, UMPCs

StreamMyGame.com announced recently that their streaming software now enables users to play intense 3D games on netbooks and ultra-mobile PCs, such as the Asus Eee PC, HP 2133, or Samsung Q1 Ultra.

Community website’s staff explains that the PC game’s video and audio are captured in real-time and sent over the Internet to a remote device, while the keyboard input at the remote device is sent back to the PC and used to control the game.

This enables owners of underpowered mobile computers to play Crysis, Quake 4, World of Warcraft and other titles on their devices. However, handling of these games requires a powerful host PC and a strong broadband or LAN connection to a mini-laptop or UMPC.

The software can stream games to both Windows- and Linux-based devices.

The video below shows Crysis and Quake 4 on an Asus Eee PC 701 with 512MB of RAM and a 630mhz processor.
