Lenovo ThinkPad SL300, SL400, SL500 - Upcoming Mainstream Laptops

Lenovo is going to release the ThinkPad SL Series notebooks, balancing between business computing and multimedia functions. The Lenovo ThinkPad SL laptops feature 13.3-, 14.1-, and 15.4-inch displays and Intel’s Centrino 2 “Montevina” mobile platform.

The SL laptops provide choice of mate or glossy screens with CCFL or LED backlighting, Core 2 Duo CPUs with 1066MHz front side bus, integrated Intel GMA 4500MHD or Nvidia GeForce 9300M dedicated GPUs, up to 320GB of hard drive space, up to 4GB of RAM, and an optional 2MP web camera. There are also 802.11 wireless, Bluetooth, WWAN, GPS, and WiMAX connectivity, an optional Blu-ray optical drive, and a HDMI connector.


Lenovo’s ThinkPad SL300 is a 13.3? variant in the upcoming SL lineup. It has three USB ports, while the 14.1-inch SL400 and 15.4-inch SL500 have four USBs. Each of the SL laptops has ExpressCard, and Firewire ports, and an optional fingerprint reader.


The Thinkpad SL laptops have glossy black finish made of scratch resistant ABS.


Currently, there is no information on availability and pricing for the SL systems.
