ATI Mobility Radeon HD 3800 Series Unveiled

AMD today unveiled the ATI Mobility Radeon HD 3800 Series dedicated video cards for higher-end notebook computers.
The Mobility Radeon HD 3800 graphics cards are the first laptop GPUs to support ATI CrossFireX technology, which enables multiple graphics processors to work together for better performance.
The Radeon HD 3800 mobile GPUs are based on 55nm manufacturing technology and feature a 256-bit GDDR3 memory interface and 320 stream processing units. The new chips support Microsoft DirectX 10.1 and PCI Express 2.0 x16 bus interface, and include ATI Avivo HD Video and Display architecture, as well as ATI PowerPlay technology for optimal balance between performance and power.
According to an earlier report, the ATI Mobility Radeon HD 3800 Series will include 3850 and 3870 models, in both single core and dual core (3850 X2, 3870 X2) versions.
