Toshiba released 4 new laptop models included in the A200 series and offers them at a starting price of under $600.
All have 15.4-inch displays with 1280×800 native resolution and are designed to fulfill small business’ needs at affordable prices.
You can opt for an Intel Centrino Duo processor or the AMD Turion 64 X2 Dual-Core Mobile Technology, both meant to improve your productivity and multimedia entertainment experience.
At the starting price you get a high-definition wide display with TruBrite technology, a DVD Super Multi optical drive with Labelflash support for compatible DVD-R discs, and built-in web camera.
To get a general view about prices and the specifications available I will enumerate four customizable model options:
For $849.99, the Toshiba Satellite A205-S5864 comes with Windows Vista Home Premium operating system pre-installed, the Intel Core 2 Duo T5550 processor clocked at 1.83GHz, 3GB DDR2 SDRAM memory, 250GB HDD storage capacity, Mobile Intel Graphics Media Accelerator X3100 with 8MB-256MB dynamically allocated shared graphics memory, integrated stereo speakers, and wireless connectivity.
Besides the components mentioned as being common for all these new notebook models, the Satellite A205-S5847 available at $649.99 runs on Intel Pentium Dual-Core processor T2370 at 1.73GHz speeds, has 2GB memory, 120GB HDD, and the rest of the hardware the previous model described has.
Satellite A215-S5849 notebook available at $749.99 has an AMD Turion processor clocked at 2GHz with HyperTransport Technology, 2GB memory, 200GB HDD storage, and the ATI Radeon X1200 graphics card with 128MB-319MB shared memory.
The model offered at the lowest price of $599.99 is Satellite A215-S5829, which features the AMD Athlon 64 X2 Dual-Core Technology TK-57 with 1.9GHz speeds, 1GB memory, 160GB HDD, and the ATI Radeon(TM) X1200 with 128MB-319MB dynamically allocated shared graphics memory.
