Engadget has revealed more unofficial details on the HP 2133 Mini-Note PC, which will most likely feature a 8.9-inch display, and VIA’s processor and graphics.
According to a published specifications sheet, the HP 2133 will start at $549. The specs say its weight is 5.26 pounds, but it looks like that’s for the whole shipping box.
Regarding basic components, there are the VIA C7-M mobile processor at 1.2GHz, Chrome 9 integrated graphics, as well as 1GB or 2GB of system memory, and a 120GB or 160GB hard drive, both depending on model. The 8.9? screen has a resolution of 1280×768 pixels, but it is unknown if it supports touch or digital pen input.
The HP 2133 Mini-Note PC has a built-in 802.11a/b/g wireless module and Ethernet LAN port. It also features a Bluetooth receiver in select models. Earlier report says the Mini-Note incorporates an ExpressCard/54 slot, nearly full-sized QWERTY (95% of full) keyboard, integrated webcam, and optional solid state drive, instead of the standard HDD.
This sub-notebook runs Windows Vista Home Basis, Vista Business or SuSE Linux Enterprise Desktop 10 operating system.
Engadget writes the HP 2133 will hit the market on April 7.
