Negroponte is supposed to be the Asus’ rival in developing the laptop fever among students and children. The laptops have become very usual and they are no more strange objects. That is why Negroponte has developed a foundation in Cambridge named as Negroponte’s One Laptop Per Child foundation of Cambridge which has come half a way through in their journey of giving away XO laptops to many children in developing countries. XO laptops are comparatively cheap and they have grown into the major rivals of Asus which was working towards the same goal. The vision of Negroponte does not stop here. it has led him to dream about $100 laptop for poor children.
