The latest ASUS press release informs us about a new series of laptops with the Discrete Graphics Engine powered by ATI and NVIDIA, to be released in the next few months.

M50Sa and F8Sp models will have the ATI Mobility Radeon HD3650 while VX2Sn, V1Sn, M51Sn, and F8Sn will come with NVIDIA GeForce 9500M GS GPUs.

As there is an increasing demand for high definition features, ASUS integrated the latest video technologies in its latest notebooks as well as Windows Vista support.

ASUS M50Sa and F8Sp notebooks are Microsoft DirectX 10.1-ready to face the next-generation of video games , and both support PCI Express 2.0, while the ATI Avivo technology for full-HD 1080P offers the most advanced audio and visual experiences.

ATI PowerPlay is in charge with maintaining the optimal balance between performance and power consumption.

The models integrating the NVIDIA GeForce 9500M GS graphic processing unit come with NVIDIA PureVideo technology for home theater video experiences.

The GPU supports Microsoft DirectX 10 Shader Model 4.0 and High Dynamic-Range lighting for the most realistic gaming effects.
